Had an enjoyable morning here with our family, 2 kids under 5. Lots of different animals to see and a beautiful boardwalk through the trees where we were lucky enough to see a wood pigeon, fantail & tui in the wild (not part of the display animals). We grabbed some food for the animals so the kids could stop and feed the trout & farm animals on the way round. Face to face with keas, cheeky big ducks and wallaby babies, not yo mention the big ol Donkey. Lions were having a snooze in the sun while we were there and we didn't head back for the afternoon feeding even though you can if you visit the park in the morning. If they had had lion cubs to pat that would have topped off the visit but you won't be disappointed with this park, take the time to wander slowly through the bush and see what you can spot. Will definitely be back to visit next time in Rotorua.

A great place to visit with the children - though little ones sometimes dont like feeding time and seeing what the lions eat!

I had high hopes for this park because of all the reviews but was disappointed. First of all, I think the admission price was way too high. I think the lion enclosure was much to small and there was hardly any thing for them to do. Lion feeding was also not so great.

I did however love the trout pools and how you walk through the canopy and watch wild birds. I also liked the wallabies, loved seeing the new babies in the group. The cafe was a disgrace because they hardly had anything other than coffee, soup and a single pie.

Overall I was rather disappointed with my visit.

Had put off going here because of previous knowledge of visitor discrimination, but purchased a couple of tickets through GrabOne and thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would recommend to all ages, feeding the animals is a great and fun time for all to enjoy, there are so many animals to feed you need lots of bags of food to be able to feed them all.

Its definitely worth a visit, and can be often overlooked with the other wildlife options available in Rotorua. I think this park neatly compliments the other wildlife options in the area and is worth a look if you have time. It caters for all age groups including families, elderly etc. All time to see the attractions, bring your camera, it has something for everyone
