My 4 year old had spotted the leaflet for this place and asked if he could go and stroke a lion cub - and he did! He thought it was brilliant, the rest f the park is well set out and we enjoyed our amble round even though the weather wasn't too great - it was quiet while we were there so we only needed half a day.

We recently visited this park with our 16 month old grandson, the park is a little way off the main road but the drive was well worth it. Beautiful setting and well laid out pathways, the little guy was in raptures with the tame ducks and pukekos along the way. Being able to pat most of the very friendly animals made his day. The lion cubs had grown quite big so had to pat through the cage but he was impressed as were all the other visitors. We wandered through at a leisurely pace and fed the various animals we encountered and huge trout in crystal clear pools. We found the whole park enjoyable and very pretty. This a great place for young children to experience many different animals at close quarters and gave good value for money.

Our Grandchildren are over friom Perth ages 3years, 5 years and 7 years, and this suited all ages. Having driven 90kls it was great to be welcomed by friendly knowledgeable stafff and the toilet facilites well maintained. Small food parcels are able to be bought for as low as $2 and the children just loved feeding the animals, all within their reach as no fences were too high. Beautiful parklike grounds, with paths that meander through native trees and the wonderful spring water that is save to drink from the stream. There is a small selection of food that can be bought with tea and coffee facilities, but what I like is that you can take your own food/picnic and eat outside on one of the many tables nestled under the trees and private areas around the grounds. This is really good value and of course the watching of the feeding of the Lions at 2.30pm every day a must to see. Highly recommended. cheers :-)

The kids enjoyed it, lovely bush walk fed the ducks and eels and donkey but it was overpriced.
Better to go to a duck park for free.

Loved walking around this place there are so many cool animals that you can feed and get close to - unlike traditional Zoos. They Even had lion cubs which you could Pat. a big stream runs through the Park and is full and i mean full of Trout that you can Feed too . The only down side is the animal food you buy at the shop is quite pricey .
