On a "road trip" following our rugby team around the North Island, we spent 2 nights in this hotel. The location is perfect for walks around the town centre, the lake and tours. We liked the fact this hotel was celebrating its environmental awareness so well. Loved having a bath in the bathroom which you often miss out on in modern hotels. The bed was way too soft for us, but could be to others liking. My only gripe would be the lack of free Wi-fi in your room. If cafes and McDonalds can offer this service to customers, I don't understand why hotels in New Zealand make you all sit in the lobby for free wi-fi. Really enjoyed the private mineral baths in the Spa and would recommend these.

Room Tip: We had a view over the city centre which was nothing special, if you can get one looking out over th...

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. My room was large with a view of the lake. Very pleasant. I slept well. Room had a safe. There was a fixed shower in the tub, and plenty of room for toiletries. Good breakfast, particularly the croissants - they went fast! Free Wifi in lobby for limited time. Nice staff.

Situated next to the Lake Rotorua, the hotel has easy access to the lake promenade and the restaurant street. The staffs are friendly and helpful. The room is spacious and clean, wifi is fast and stable, and the lake view is splendid. Plenty of parking and it's free, unlike the hotel in Hamilton. Definitely will stay again if we come back!
