Are great place for all levels. Beginner (bottom) to expert (top). Better trail signage would be great but OK with the phone app "Trailforks"

Incredible place, maximum connection with nature, perfect to understand the fundamentals of taking care of our forests and the ecosystem.

Take time out, breathe the fresh air and wander amongst these huge giants. Walks around this place are clearly marked and will give you a variety of options. Would totally make this a regular walk if I lived here. Dogs are allowed in some parts but on a lead. So get away from your screens and have some green time here. Free & fabulous!!

We did the day and night combo. It's a one of a kind experience. They dont let you carry toddlers at any time during the walks so be sure that your wee one is rested and in a good mood to walk - specially at dusk.

We did the day time walk on a Friday and the night time on a Saturday night. Summer sunsets are late so we were worried our wee man will not make the night walk... - BUT HE DID... and we were so glad to do both walks as a family of 5.. Night walks get crowded very fast so come early. We started at around 8.45pm and then the que's were just a few metres but when we finished off they were spiralling to que.

Both amazing walks . A must do in Rotorua.

It's only 10 mins from Rotorua centre. It's free to park and free to enjoy if you swerve the tree walk. We did the yellow walk. 7.5kms, much of it in the shade in the forest. It climbs to a modest height and there are several lookouts over Rotorua. If you time it right you can clearly see the geyser going off in the thermal park below, without having to pay.
