A lovely forest with beautiful tree's with a selection of walks. It was nice to get among the forest and this spot is clearly enjoyed by locals and tourists. Close to town and yet very peaceful. Appeared safe during daylight hours.

What an awe-inspiring place, so calm and peaceful yet well used by lots of people. Many tracks available, so close to Rotorua but yet feels so far away from anything. I wanted to experience this again and again - will think about going to California now.

This is a very peaceful place with large beautiful trees. It was very quiet and quite spiritual for us.
This place gave us a break from the hustle and bustle and odour of Rotorua. It didn't take very long to get to the forest (About 10 minutes drive from Rotorua or not long - anyway!)

one of the most beautiful forests I have ever been to. There are several biking tracks and walking tracks that you can choose from depending on what your interests are.

There are also easy walking tracks if you want to take a relaxing stroll in the forest.

If you want a wonderful injection of lush nature, excitement, thrills, challenges or just abit of chill-out time, then take a trip to The Redwoods. There are heaps of bike tracks for all levels. My 6yr old son and I have done the Hemo gorge and the Tahi track, a great way to get into mountain biking! I believe there are also walking tracks, coffee stops and an info centre. I can't wait to go and check out the rest of the beginner bike tracks. See you there!
