Really lovely place. Various walks from 30 minutes for 8 hours. Magnificent trees. Peace and quiet away from the busy centre. It seemed all walks were one direction only which was a really good idea and you saw less people and could really relate to the beautiful surroundings. Loved the artistic toilet facilities! Incredibly clean considering in the middle of nowhere.

A real forest, excellent resources. This is a place to go for a walk or hike (tramp) in a forest. Unlike most places in Rotorua there is no charge. Great value

Brilliant mountain biking tracks all over the forest. Tracks all signposted with grades from 1 Easy to 6 Expert. You can also get a map with all the trails, can get a little confusing the first day but once your familiar with the tracks its easy too navigate around. A must do for mountain bike riders!!!

Our friends whom live in Perth now went back to Rotorua to get back married under the sails and what a gorgeous setting!
It didn't rain, it wasn't too hot, was just perfect! Beautiful forest for walking too

It was wonderful to hike in the forest. The trails range from easy (1-2 hours) to difficult (6-7hours). the scenery is fabulous, specially looked out to see the whole Rotorua area. A very relax place to hike.
