Go for a walk in the Redwoods and you're even able to see over Te Puia and have a look at the geyser for free - in distance, but for free! ;)

This park is simply stunning and is the perfect place for a scenic walk. If you enjoy photography you will be rewarded with endless opportunities for gorgeous shots.
The shop is quite pricey if you are lookingfor souvenirs.

“An amazing walk”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2013

We were meant to be in California this trip but ended up in NZ! So stoked to find the redwood forest! The walk we did was with ours bubs and was only half an hour, took some amazing photos, the forest is to die for! Wish we had more time for a longer walk!

Ideal forest will all range of perfectly signed tracks to adapt to your time and strength. It's only three kilometres away from centre Rotorua, making it an ideal escape from the volcanic-related sights and activities. Nice for hiking, cycling and horse riding.

“quiet day and all free”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2013

This is a lovely place to visit in Rotorua and all fro free. There are several walking track for different fitness degrees. The forest itself is gorgeous and a quiet oasis in town. The start of the tracks was difficult to find but once you did there is no holding you back, some of the paths have lovely views, lots of parking and an information centre. A great place
