Maybe because we took the shorter track, does not find the view to be stunning and memorable. It's okayish, but easy to find somewhere else similar or better which comes for free. It is not a bad place to go for a walk, but if you're thinking of going to the city for Redwoods in particular, don't do that, it's not worth it.

This was our second visit to Rotorua and we didn't visit the Redwood Forest the first time so I wanted to go this visit and was pleased that we did. We did the 1 hour Waitawa walk and the whole circuit was well marked and maintained. The track is nice and wide and the ground even and easy to walk. The trees are awesome and the atmosphere is peaceful - a good place to relax.

If you think you are going to the California Redwoods think again. But great hiking trails, well marked, various skill levels and the snakc shop serves great coffees and sweets.

Firstly being free entertainment – unbelievable! It was lovely in the shade; it was so hot that day. The shop is one of the cheapest if you want to buy souvenirs. Just make sure to buy some water before you go for a walk. The nice part is the little unexpected surprises along the way, strange water pools and more. Breath in fresh air and feel energized at the other end of the trail. Horse and biking trails also available, although you don’t see or hear them while on the walking trail. The path is so easy and accessible that todds and parents with baby strollers as well as the grandparents will enjoy the walk.
