“Comfortable B&B”

We stayed two nights in a clean and comfortable room at this quiet B&B. The B&B owner was welcoming, helpful and friendly and the self-service breakfast was plentiful and tasty.Lake Lodge is just a short drive from the main road into and out of Rotorua and is just a few minutes walk from the town's restaurant district.

My girlfriend and I stayed at this cute little Bed & Breakfast for 2 nights in January 2013. It is within a short walk of the Rotorua town centre and perfectly suited to a couple spending time in and around this part of New Zealand.

The room and in fact the rest of the house was immaculately clean and comfortable. The room was a little on the small side, but it didn't bother us at all. There is a large lounge room or dining table to sit at if you need to sit down and relax. The included breakfast was beautiful with fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurt, croissants and toast. There is plenty of parking right outside the front door which makes it convenient for those travelling by car (almost everyone in NZ I'd imagine). Wifi was also included which is always handy!

Overall it was great value for money ($120 NZD/night) and perfect for our stay.

We booked a luxury room at this B&B. Firstly we found that they had not kept our booking because they claimed they had not received our credit card details. But they did not bother to contact us with this problem beforehand. There was nothing luxurious about the room. A great view of their back yard. Just a king bed and ensuite. Apart from the TV not even a glass to have drink of water. We "debooked" and went and stayed next door at the Ibis

We stayed here for one night in the king sized bed room with the ensuite bathroom. We found Mon to be a very nice host. This property is kept immaculately clean. There was a TV in the bedroom as well as a common room with a large TV. WiFi was included at no extra cost. Breakfast was a wonderful assortment of fresh bread and fruits. Mon also cooked eggs for my wife. The location of the property was ideal for walking to the lakefront or downtown. I would highly recommend staying here.

Comfy room, quiet but close to restaurants and lake. Use of nice guest lounge and relaxed breakfast time just help yourself when you are ready up to 10am great! Parking right outside only stayed one night wish it was longer.

My wife & I stayed for Two Nights in February at Lake Lodge B&B in Rotorua.
On arrival you are greeted by an indifferent Vista with the IBIS Hotel next door, but venture past and you enter another "World".
The Host Mon a Thailand gentleman gives an outstanding welcome, with nothing being too much trouble.
The house is decoratd in Thai style with beatiful wooden stripped floors, a fatastic Kitchen for you to enjoy on your stay.
The bedroom was of a good size - adequate rather than enormous, but with great wardrobes 7 a good shower.
This is truly a great place to stay if you are going to Rotorua.
