We were very happy with our stay at City Lights.

We arrived in the afternoon, Naomi made us a very nice coffee, and left us to settle in. In the evening we enjoyed a bottle of pinot & medeteranian takeaway in the spacious guest lounge looking over the city. We followed dinner with a spa under the stars. In the morning Jim served us breakfast including some of Naomi's home made spreads.

We enjoyed our stay at city lights, my only regret is not selecting a room with a view.

We found City Lights listed in "Wotif" and we decided to call in rather than book immediately. Knew roughly where to go but it took a bit of finding bcecause of its unique location - which turns out to be a plus in most respects at it was nice and quiet in a semi rural setting within 10 mins of down town. Location could be a bit of a concern for some.
Naomi and Jim were very accomodating and their ultra modern B&B was beautifully thought out and easy to stay in (best of both worlds: layout allowed privacy while guest lounge/common areas were good to use.

We were delighted to find City Lights even more stylish than we had hoped. Everything is new, and Naomi and Jim had gone to a lot of trouble to ensure everything was available - though regret to say we didn't have time to use the spa or the gym. Our room was large, comfortable couch, large TV, own fridge -very well appointed. The night view was stunning, and the morning mist in the valley gradually cleared to give a view of the whole city. We enjoyed the full English breakfast, complete with homemade spreads - delicious. It was very quiet -and only a short drive from the city centre -we had a great stay.

City lights is a cute little place in Rotorua. We were welcomed by Naomi. The room was lovely. From the spacious room with ensuite bathroom, to an outdoor spa this place is everything you need if you want to relax in a private setting. It has peaceful surroundings and overlooks of the town which can be seen from the room as well as in the breakfast area. Full english breakfast in the morning was a delightful treat. We will definitely be back!

At lunchtime on a fine Sat afternoon we decided to do a small road trip to Rotorua, in our classic car. Jumped on the net, found this place and booked, without knowing anything. On our arrival we were greeted like friends arriving and felt immediately comfortable and relaxed. Also releived as we found the place with no problems, as it was dark by the time we got there. the instructions were great. The room was comfortable and warm as were the hosts. It was great in the morning with a lovely relaxed breakfast. We highly reccommend this place to anyone staying in Rotorua. Its a peaceful and beautiful place, but oh so close to town. We look forward to our next trip there. Many Thanks Regards Barry and Sandra

Very warm and friendly place, fantastic views, great hosts. We stayed 2 very cold nights in June, but it felt like home. The first night we were too tired to go out and it was raining, so we ordered in takeaway, home delivery. The second night it was fine so we ate out in town. Breakfast was delicious, just what we had missed travelling around trying to feed ourselves. Great views, best at night and early in the morning, seeing the steam rise over the city in the still air. Loved the alpacas as well.
