The park is well landscaped with thermal areas fenced off. Some nice floral gardens. There are some mineral pools where you can sit and put your feet in the water.

During our recent trip to Rotorua, we were debating whether to visit one of the paid Geothermal parks or just this free public park. Finally, based on other TripAdvisor reviews, we decided on this one and we are glad that we did. This park is totally free, has ample amount of parking and right in the center of the city. It has a large number of geothermal pools. The largest pool and the wooden bridge overlooking that pool is hidden behind a few bushes so you might not see them as you enter the park. However, keep walking past the pools at the far end and you'll find them. It is quite an experience walking over the bridge and feel the steam from the pools. Sulphur does smell bad but that's part of the experience :-)

A great way to see (and smell!!) lots of hot and steamy activity for free. Rest weary feet in the free communal hot pools and meet lots of locals and fellow tourists as you unwind - would be great on a rainy cold day as the pools are under cover. Apparently there is an issue with thieving in the park (according to another review here) but we only saw friendly people.

Nice gardens but there are kids that hang around ready to run of with a bag. Nice hot pools two. There is a great play ground to but keep an eye on your stuff in clouding your kids

Visited the park on Boxing day. Quite and cozy park, with small playground for children to play, thermal pool, dip small pool, big pool ( not for swimming) and basic facilities such as toilet and drinking water. Just few minutes walk from town and lake. Very handy for people without car like us.
