We have been patrons at the Swiss Cafe for 10 years. They were a good, middle of the range restaurant. Their menu was interesting and well presented.

Since the change of ownership, however, the meals have not been anywhere near as good as they were previously. Service was sloppy, too many giggling waitresses and the food poor. The restaurant's new owners don't have a clue.

We won't be going back.

The staff were disorganised, the food was only ok, expensive and not as nice as much cheaper places nearby. They employ a lot of young staff who didn't understand what was on the menu and had to be shown what to write down.

They mucked up our meals and were quick to sort that, to their credit - they took the drinks off the bill, but service was slow and we did not go back, unlike other local places which were cheaper.

Had a nice meal here - salad, bread, soup, fish, dessert, wine. It was a little pricey, but seems that most things around the area (especially food) are. No complaints about any of the food...soup was the best part of the meal.

The service was fine. Locaton beautiful but the food downright bad. You can see why people go the once but not return. My seafood platter was horrible. Deepfried and obiously not fresh. There is much better seafood platters to be got elsewhere in town. Furniture is worn and dated and the music crackles from a dodgy music system. They will not allow the bill to be split when paying which is downright stupid. Would not return.

Swiss food in an awning on the front of the restaurant. Better than you would think! Genuine Swiss dishes of good quality. Who would have thought...?
