We came here for dinner the first night that we stayed in Paihia and weren't overwhelmed by the food at all. The food took quite a long time to come and when it did, mine was a pretty small portion (I ordered the three cheese pasta) and there was more sauce than food to the point where I thought they'd brought me a soup at first!
The food tasted fine but there just wasn't really enough of it and I left still feeling a bit hungry. The staff were quite friendly though, although they did disappear quite a lot!

Went here late one evening for a quick pizza. We were the only people in the restaurant (keeping in mind that this is the off season for them). The pizza was very good and the wait staff was very pleasant

Ultra-basic food but quick service at least. Pricey for what it is - think teenager's home-made pizza with luncheon ham but at least no tinned spaghetti. Soft drinks for the kids brought out in unopened plastic bottles...

Half as good as Hell or Dominos but twice the price. Redeeming features were speedy and friendly service.

Visited on the strength of Tripadvisor reviews and, as usual, found it to be a very good choice. As some have said, it was slightly off putting to have to go up-stairs and walk down a corridor, but the atmosphere was very friendly and the food couldn't be faulted for the money.

Arrived about 9pm Saturday & they were just starting to pack up but happily offered to do take away for us, and i'm glad they did! The garlic pizza bread was amazingly awesome! Crisp thin base & the garlic and cheese topping was yum. The carbonara pasta was a really generous size & also really yum, though I would have liked some cracked pepper on top which I couldn't get cos we took away. Service was very friendly & I would happily recommend Ruffino for great italian!
