“Great seafood with a great view”
Reviewed January 19, 2012

Excellent location with a terrific view of the harbour and Bay of Islands. Great selection of local and NZ wines. Our waitress was friendly and helpful in assisting us with our selections. Hard to beat as the best view in town.

“Lovely setting.”
Reviewed January 18, 2012

We popped in in the afternoon to book a table and asked for one looking out over the sea. Probably worth booking as it did get very busy. We all enjoyed our meals and the waitress was chatty and friendly. The only downside to the evening was that the meals did take a long time to come. The waitress did apologise and I didn't really mind as we enjoyed a glass of wine looking at the view and at the aquarium. I had the oven cooked chicken breast for my main course, which came with a mushroom & rosemary sauce, broccoli & sour cream crushed potatoes. What made the meal for me though was the dessert, I had the orange and ricotta cake but substituted the ice cream it came with for the liquorice ice cream which came with another dessert. Probably not a good combination but the liquorice cream was delicious.

“Great View and Location, so-so Food & Service”
Reviewed January 18, 2012

Probably the stunning view it offers ,its location and its beverage selection are what gets this place going. food quality was average, not what you would expect for the price they charge. service was a bit chaotic too (mind you, I was there over the peak lunch period). If you are keen on views and picturesque settings, this is probably the best on the waterfront you can find.
