“Unforgettable, start to finish”
Reviewed February 16, 2013

We did the heli island escape and it was the best money we spent on our honeymoon. The helicopter ride was a great way to see the Bay of Islands and we were dropped at a beautiful and secluded area with provisions for a thoroughly pleasant afternoon. What really sets Salt Air apart though, is the staff. They were friendly, obliging and knowledgeable and they really made us feel special.

“Wonderful Trip”
Reviewed February 13, 2013

A fantastic way to visit Cape Reinga. We went on the GA8 single engined aircraft. Very comfortable for 7 passengers. Expert flying by our pilot James and met at the Cape by another great guide Stuart. A very enjoyable day in a nice small group. Many personal touches (watter, muffins and sleds) made it a great experience and certainly and unforgetable part of our holiday.

“Not to be missed. Ignore the cost. Best trip of the North ever!”
Reviewed February 5, 2013

Salt Air trip up to the North cape and Cape Reinga is absolutely a must. Some people are put off by the cost. Travelling to NZ is expensive, getting to the Cape is cheap. Do it as it is a once in a lifetime trip. Greta views of 90 mile beach on West coats and stay and see the crashing of the Tasman Sea into the Pacific Ocean where they meet. Then a trip in an immaculate 8 passenger van takes you to a beach for tea and snacks, followed by a unique experience sliding down the sand dunes on a snow sled. A must for all ages and easy to do. Then the trip back along the amazing East Pacific side coast with white silica sand beaches and other coves rocks and coastline to die for. A wonderful 4-1/2 experience. Highly recommend with greta pilots and tour guides to boot. Learnt a lot and saw it all. fabulous.

“Not to be missed flight”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

Being a helicopter pilot myself, I have seen quite some scenery from the air but the trip up North offered by Salt Air is just stunning. Not to be missed! A once in a life time experience.

“What a great experience”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

I have been in a helicopter before so that was not such a big deal for me, however Manu showed me such a beautiful part of NZ I would have not have missed another flight for the world. If you have limited time up in this part of the country I would recommend this trip to anyone so you can say you have seen some of the most spectacular parts of NZ. The weather was great as it always appears to be in this part of the world and the pontoon land was very exciting. Well worth the $ too.
