We arrived on a quiet, rainy Sunday at the beginning of the season. Nearly every hotel, lodge and Motel had vaccancy boards out, so we decided to check a few out. Bounty was easily the best for the money. Spacious room. Modern decor. Friendly, helpful staff. Location was key in the heavy rain - set on the first street that runs paralel to the foreshore, it is a quick 2 mins walk from the shops, and restaurants. Would definitely head here again.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for reviewing the Bounty Inn and for the great feed back. we print out all the reviews for the staff to read and it really helps them and the management take pride in their work to hear such positive comments.
Merry Xmas.
Scott

We had a two-bedroom apartment, but one of the bedrooms was in fact the entrance hall. The shower was excellent. The kitchen was fully equipped except for a lack of oven tray/grill pan (soon rectified by a visit to the office). There was quite a lot of noise from neighboroughing units, especially upstairs. The unit was rather expensive considering it was not particularly roomy.

Hi Paul,
I am sorry your stay at the Bounty Inn was not all you hoped for but will take the positives of full marks for cleanliness. Without knowing the details it is hard on me to comment on the value you paid but I am surprised as in November as in all our low season months our rooms are discounted as low as we can go and usually are considered good value as you can judge by the majority of reviews. The back door exit is primarily for usage as a fire escape and to enable easy access from the rear carpark with your luggage and is not a entrance hall as the front range slider is the main entry and exit of your unit but will put fire exit signs on the rear doors to prevent confusion in the future
Merry Christmas to you and your family
Scott.

Myself and wife stayed in a 2 room Unit for $80 per night. It was renovated with everything and Scott the owner could not have done more. Quiet, 1 St back from the beach-ownSo restful that we slowed our north island trip down. Booked 2 days of excursions and that was great value for 2 of us ($318 NZ)

Hi Twoblue61,
Fantastic review thank you and we are glad you enjoyed our September early bird studio special. It was so successful you even got upgraded to a one bedroom unit which obviously worked to our advantage as you extended your stay with us. I have passed on your comments to NZexplore.
Merry Xmas and have a great 2012.

We found the experience great, all needs were met with a smile. We were in the TV room and I think the work in the other rooms to modernise the units is better than the room done on the TV programme. Lovely place and will be even better when you have finished. Enjoyed Bella, Charlie and Garfield also. Reach for the stars - From John & Wendy

We arrived in Paihai late afternoon without a reservation, found this motel one block off the main highway and were delighted! Friendly Innkeeper, great room with well appointed little studio set up CLEAN, QUIET and COMFORTABLE. The price was modest and actually the best price for the room durining our entire 1 month NZ visit!

Bounty Inn is close to the village, bayfront and shops. Handy and charming community!
I would definately choose it again.

Room Tip: Great parking.
