The owners were attentive and very knowledgeable about their horses and which was best for you.

Went for a great 2 hour trek which included outstanding views.

Highly recommended

“Not worth the money”
Reviewed January 13, 2013

I am a fairly experienced rider but chose to join the beginners ride as my partner and his sister-in-law are both inexperienced.

The horses seemed to be well looked after and lovely but the track was very boring and it looked out over a lot of deforested areas. Didn't feel like we were riding through forest to be honest.

The instruction for the complete beginners was extremely basic, they weren't even told how to make the horse move forward. One poor girl was struggling a lot to make her horse go and stop eating the grass. They were just chucked on and expected to get on with it.

There was a very brief talk about volcanoes/craters.

There was no opportunity for trotting unless we hung back and caught up.

In conclusion, I wouldn't recommend this place as it is expensive for what it is. It doesn't seem to be a professional outfit either. The guide's bra was hanging out with her cleavage on show and she was riding barefoot.

Sorry to hear the writter didn't enjoy the experience. Mixed rides are often a chalenge for the guides as it is difficult to please both beginners and experineced riders on the same ride. We have taken these last two reviews on board though and are aiming to send 2 guides out in these situations so the rides can be split. The full time guide who was working at the time is no longer working for us. We do pride ourselves for high standards, well kept happy horses, and impeccable premises and friendly, well presented staff. All the best. Claire

“Not for anyone that havet been on a horse more than once before”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

They asked us when we booked if we were experienced and we told them yes. When we got there they had put us in a group with kids that hard not been riding ever before. So this became the most boring riding experience of my life. Two hours on a gravel road in a pace that could stop time without any of the anticipated trotting, cantering or beach riding. The instructors told us some short things about the view but most of the time they were just shouting at us to stay in line and keep the bored horses from stopping and eating grass.
I can only recommend this to totally inexperienced persons.

The promised forrest was also mostly cut down
