A special day, a very moving experience to be actually standing on the site of such historic events. Grounds beautifully tended, a stunning view once you reached the treaty grounds, staff very friendly and informed. Definitely a must see for all New Zealanders.

A lot of work has gone into this beautiful place, the attention to detail is very obvious. Really enjoyed our visit, it was a highlight of our trip.

At the nothern end of New Zealand's north Island is a little bit of British history to be proud of. This is the place where the British and Maoris entered into a treaty for us to protect them against the French. A lovely spot and a nice thought that we sometimes did some good.
