We stayed at Admirals Lodge over the weekend of the Keri Keri half marathon. Right from booking Craig and Penny were lovely and helpful. They provided a portacot and bedding for it.
My very inquisitive 2yr old was well tolerated even when he was 'helping' to clean the rooms.
The room was fantastic. It was great to have a kitchenette. The bathroom was fab, although next time ill be sure to book a room with a spa bath! Comfy beds too!
To top off the greatness, I left some stuff in our room and Penny had it sent down to Auckland. So grateful. Thank you!
Def will be back!

This is Glynis from Kapiti 4 Seasons Tours. Our active senior group enjoyed two nights in this lovely complex, We used nine rooms, these included luxury rooms with fantastic view and private balconies, deluxe rooms with balconies. Upstairs was only about six steps from main reception as complex is against a hill. The lower area had three units including two, two bedroom units and a sunny patio where we all gathered for before dinner drinks...Trev and I had a two bedroom with lovely lounge so group could visit.
Our hosts Penny and Craig were very helpful and everyone enjoyed their stay. We were within walking distance of the Russell ferry and many restaurants. We had dinner at Tito's one night and Alfresco's the second night. We will make return visits for sure...

Room Tip: Stairs are shorter at the reception end of upstairs balcony so don't miss the views!

We stayed in March 2012 and used this as a base to explore the Bay of Islands.

Self-catering room was very spacious and comfortable with free inetrnet access and laundry facilities. Situated a street back from the main road meant that this was lovely and quiet. Short walk into Paihia town to shops & restaurants but very pleasant along the water's edge. Would definitely recommend.

We booked at last minute because we had been let down by previous hotel. When we arrived (there were four of us) both rooms were ready and next door to each other. They were spotlessly clean and spacious had shared balcony. Hotel very handy for town easy walking distance for boat trips. Owner very helpful and lent us towels for the beach. Used BBQ in evening.

The room was well equipped and spacious and was in a quite part of the town yet only 5/10 min walk from the centre.

The owners were very friendly and helpful.

It was a very enjoyable stay and would recommend it!

Thank you for taking the time to post this review. I apologise for the rude response you received on arrival from the previous manager. My husband and I have taken over running Admirals View Lodge (April 2012) and can assure you this issue has been resolved!

Well kept room, Very tidy and had all the bells and whistles. Came with sky and a good Air con unit. Very nice Bathroom we thought for the price.

The lady Host at reception was very unfriendly. Ringing the bell at the desk she yelled from upstairs "you can just wait" over the top of her screaming kids. Asking to be checked in she seemed confused and acted like she didn't know what we were talking about. After taking us to our room and throwing us the key, she took off just saying nothing. On a positive note, the Man at the front desk was lovely and when we came to ask about some things he was happy to help.

On the morning we woke up, smashed glass was all over our front porch from beer bottles. Unimpressed.

We think the room was excellent, the service shocking.

Thank you for taking the time to place feedback. We appreciate your comments on the room and how well equipped it is. My husband and I took over running the motel in April 2012 and the former managers have moved on to new things, we are pleased to advise that we pride ourselves on the service we provide and there will be no more yelling from the top of the stairs!
Kind regards
Penny
