We stayed in January for two nights on our trip around New Zealand. Whilst there are no real bells and whistles, the place fulfilled what we wanted which was a nice affordable place to stay which wouldnt break the bank. Andrew was a great host, good sense of humour and willing to help with any enquiries (didnt get to meet Barbara). The place is about 2 minutes drive out of Paihia which makes it a quiet and relaxing place to stay. Whilst there are limited views of the bay itself, the view of the sunset over the hilly forest was fantastic. BBQ to use with sauces available in the fridge....also had free DVDs that you could watch during your stay. Only thing I'd recommend would be getting ceiling fans in the room as it was quite stuffy in there when we returned at the end of the day, otherwise, it was a nice place to stay and would definitely recommend to others.
