We stayed 3 nights over Easter in a room with no sea view (although there actually was a sea view out the ranch slider).
The room was spacious with two single beds in the living area and a fold-out sofa, and a bedroom with a queen bed.
The bathroom was clean and modern. The kitchen was well equipped motel-style with most basic utensils and amenities. The television has channels 1, 2, 3 and Prime as well as Sky Sport and Movies Premiere.
The location is excellent - just a stone's throw from the centre of town and right across the road from the water. There is free off-street parking for guests (unallocated).
The motel itself is a typical Kiwi motel. It's not fancy but it is very comfortable, well maintained and clean.
There is a spa pool for guest use. It's a bit hidden away and dark, but if you need a soak it's there.
There is a wifi system which involves using 100mb credits, which is mildly cumbersome but gets you online if you need it.
The place is very good value for money. We enjoyed it and would stay again.
