We were picked up at 7:00 am at the corner of our bed and breakfast in Paihia and the bus driver took us all the way to the top of the North Island to Cape Reinga, where the Pacific Ocean and the Tasmin Sea meet. It was gorgeous. From there we drove on the sand right by the water's edge on 90 mile beach and ended up in these huge sand dunes that you got on a "boogie board" of sorts and had to walk up this huge sand dune and then we slid down. It was very exciting and crazy!
The bus driver was very informative. We stopped in a couple of other places that were very interesting. Got back at 7:00 pm, so it was a full day, but worth it!
