“Great Way to see this Beautiful Part of the World”

We took the Trip over to Russell Township with the guided tour and them the boat trip to the Hole in the Rock. It was a really Great way to see many of these islands. The Captain gave a non-stop commentary which was interesting, informative and entertaining. I would recommend this trip if you are visiting Paihia for a couple of days, you don’t have to pre-book either.

“Awesome Cream Trip & what a Finale”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 31, 2014

We have just disembarked one of the most spectacular trips of my life. It’s the last day of out two month holiday of New Zealand all of which has been fantastic so to finish it in such style was awesome. Paul Carberry of New Zealand in Depth said the Bay of Islands would blow our socks off and that the tour of the islands was a “must” and I would go further the “Cream Trip is just so special, it’s a full day 9.30am-4.30pm and feels like we have been to paradise & back, great boat with plenty of space, loads of viewing, good age profile on our trip from all ages and countries. Great welcome from Captain Billy & his crew, even the photographer was chirpy and smiled getting you in the spirit without us feeling like herded cattle (photo brilliant too & very well priced!) Billy’s commentary was informative light and funny without ever being obtrusive, he reacted to nature and allowed us extra time when we got amongst a group of pods of dolphins allowing swimming with them for those who wished and calling a halt when a juvenile & baby joined but stayed & explained the hierarchy/facts of life & adolescence behaviour and let us watch the pods interaction at great length and with such proximity in crystal clear waters, mind blowing, the trips around the islands, the mussels collection, cooking and tasting of, the history of the area its people and the European invasion, the island stop for lunch and hill climb (optional) fish feeding and swimming for all who wanted to participate with no pressure on those who didn’t, then the Clearwater run over to the Hole in the Rock, the history and then the trip through, backwards!! Slowly for safety and for effect and photo’s, it was real and compelling and to stop amongst the shoals of fish who were literally lying glistening on the top of the ocean with hundreds of the fish family below the surface but completely visible. Billy made the executive decision that snorkelling as the waters were so clear, was to be the best option to conclude the trip which wasn’t my thing but was great to watch and the mini trip we were taken on whilst the snorkelling took place was very enlightening. Why did it all have to end? what an incredible day to end our 58 days in New Zealand, Do the Cream Trip and do it more than once, very good value as well! We’ll be back!!Ju

“Cream Tea Trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 29, 2014

A bit of a 'swell' out at sea - take precautions if you are at all sea sick, but well worth the trip to see the 'Hole in the Rock' and pass through it. Take a picnic lunch to enjoy on the island stop. Pack your 'dookers' if you want a swim or a 'net' experience or to join the dolphins.

“A great day out to the 90 mile beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 27, 2014 via mobile

This 10 hour bus tour started early and our first stop was the Puketi forest where we could walk amongst Kauri trees and dense vegetation. Next stop was the Ancient Kauri Kingdom where we saw some Kauri tree stumps (42,000 yrs or more) that had been excavated from ancient swamps. The coach then drove about 60 miles (not really 90 mile) along the sandy beach heading north and the driver identified all the birds on the way. We reached several dunes and the some of the passengers did sand boarding with boards provided by the tour company. The coach then took us to Cape Reinga at the most northern part of North Island. We saw the lighthouse at the tip of the island and saw where the Tasman sea meets the Pacific Ocean. On the way back we passed several small bays and visited KeriKeri where we saw the oldest surviving wooden house and stone store in NZ. A splendid day out in a comfortable bus and a knowledgeable driver. It is great value for money and a great day out.

“Cream trip definitely worth it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 24, 2014 via mobile

Yesterday i did the 90mile beach coach tour...today i did the cream trip and the bay of islands, I loved every second of it and i paid the extra $30 to swim with the dolphins which was one of the best days of my life! All the staff were very informative and helpful pointing out animals you might not of noticed and telling you when was the best moment to jump in with the dolphins so you got more of a chance of being right near them, the drinks and snacks on board were all reasonable prices and the weather was excellent our captain took us further out than normal to give us a chance to spot whales also. A great day out i highly recommend it :-)
