Right on the beach this is a perfect location. The food and service is also excellent. the menu is high quality yet the price is reasonable. East Pier can also be used for functions such as parties, weddings, or more serious ones like trainings. I have been to a wedding reception there last year, some leaving do celebrations, and my partner did smome training there. The service received was excellent.

The Bar is split into several different dining areas. We went into the more formal area. (White table clothes and linen napkins). The waitress was very pleasant and was able to give details of the various dishes. We both had groper with scallop potatoes and wilted spinach, garlic, pine nuts in a fish sauce. It was well presented and had a mixture of flavours. The fish was the special of the day, which was fortunate, as the rest of the menu was not very special. The Bar is situated on the edge of the sea, therefore is in a great setting.

Had a fantastic meal at this restaurant and it has to have the most fantastic views of anywhere that you can eat in Napier. Right on the beach, tables inside and out, very clean, very friendly staff who couldn't do enough to ensure that we enjoyed our food, and the duck was fantastic.

With high class view of the coach and ocean, we were expecting a high class meal. The chicken pasta was nicely cooked but lacked the flavour to be a really good meal. The fish of the day grouper was much better with a good taste and cooked perfectly.

We had an excellent meal at the East Pier. It was a cool evening but we were still able to sit outside on the sheltered terrace which provided a great view of the bay. Service and food quality was really good. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. One small thing was that the entrance to the bar is one huge opening and people stood right at the very edge of the indoor area to smoke. I didn't think this was right somehow but the staff didn't do anything so it must be ok.
