“Excellent - as usual”

we've stayed at Pebble Beach each time we've been to Napier in the past eight years. The standards and quality have remained consistently high, offering great value.

Rooms have hush glass in the road & beach facing windows & doors. This cuts out a huge amount of noise and gives a fantastic view of sunrise if you're awake early enough! Touches like fresh OJ, decent coffee and in room spa baths make it that bit extra special. Yes it's a bit pricey, however we feel it well worth the price for the quality of accommodation.

Stayed here for two nights over Christmas given all the raving reviews here on tripadvisor. Yes, it's a decent accommodation and the views of the ocean are spectacular. Staff was friendly and helpful without being intrusive which is good. However- we paid about the same price as at a Hilton or similar property and that's just totally over the top for what you get: It's still a Motel with the typical outside staircase and parking on the back and rooms to the front rather than a luxury hotel. Inside, the rooms are nicely sized and pretty modern but again, give you a rather motel-like experience with the plastic-walled shower and the rather weird bubble bath inside the actual bedroom. The latter is probably an excuse for not providing a pool which most of the other motels in the area do- I really missed the chance to have a quick swim and would have preferred it over the in-room bubble bath. My partner however loved the spa bath and enjoyed the views of the ocean while lying in it so each to their own I guess. Some other minor gripes which shouldn't be there if you charge well over 200 bucks a night: The free Wifi only worked in the entrance area and the signal was too weak to reach the bedroom or balcony without dropping out all the time. On arrival, we only had shower gel and soap in the bathroom, on day 2 they added one of those useless 2in1 "conditioning shampoos" to it rather than providing a decent shampoo as well as a conditioner. The stuff that was there was also of a very low quality, some pseudo-organic honey crap that didn't even properly wash your hands. And finally, when servicing the room, they didn't restock the coffee milk and forgot to clean the balcony entirely, leaving two empty wine bottles and glasses out there. All in all, rather first world problems but- hey, they're not exactly charging third world prices either!

Room Tip: They seem to all face the ocean so the higher the better. The in room bubble bath is a bit of an unn...

All rooms are sea facing and not obscured by any buildings. Room was very large and spotlessly clean with kitchen area and large jacuzzi bath. You get fresh milk, fresh orange juice, cheese/crackers and biscuits upon checkin. All rooms have a balcony
There is a large parking space to the rear of the motel
It is a bit of a walk back into the centre of Napier - probably about 20-30 minutes but there are loads of bars and eating options when you get there.
There are motels closer to the centre but they don't all have full sea facing rooms and some looked a bit outdated
A great choice for a Napier stay!

Room Tip: Ask for a top floor room as they have the best views

Nice clean room, spa bath a nice bit of luxury, a short walk from the town centre and all amenities. Free laundry, nothing too much trouble. The town is an architectural treasure - buy the leaflet for a self-guided tour from the I-Site. We would happily go back.

Room Tip: A room on the top (2nd) floor will reduce traffic noise in the mornings.

Stayed one night as a walk in. Very friendly helpful staff. Great value for money - fantastic room (very clean), great facilities (great kitchenette, spacious bathroom, spa tub/bath in room separate to bathroom), great location.

Only gripe (first world problem) was the hot water ran out before the bath was full (it is a seriously good sized spa for two people).

Free wireless internet.

Received a small (300ml?) bottle of milk on arrival for tea and coffee - loved this personal touch as I'm not a fan of the long life milk.

As my husband, 10 month baby and I travelled through New Zealand this was our little luxurious treat! We stayed in a 2 bed apartment with a beautiful sea view. The location is excellent and the staff so helpful. Free use of laundry facilities, a high chair and travel cot and a welcome basket were nice touches. Our baby loved swimming in the spa bath (without the bubbles) and we enjoyed meals gazing at the view. Thoroughly recommended.

An excellent accommodation choice. Super friendly reception and staff, Great sea views and views of people walking/cycling along beach track and to National Aquarium from a spacious balcony. We were on third floor so view may have been better than lower floors. Very spacious room although I would have enjoyed a bit more wardrobe space . Excellent shower and luxurious spa bath for a couple to sip a good Hawkes Bay wine or two and enjoy the view.

Room Tip: We were in Room 16 on top floor and found it quiet with a great view.
