We stayed at the Bella Tuscany for two nights. Our first impressions were that it was very clean and tidy, with nice modern decor. We were in a two-room unit with my husband's parents, and it was definitely good value for money. The beds were comfy and we slept well. There was a little BBQ area right outside our rooms which was nice. The only real negative was the shower - the pressure was weak and it sprayed everywhere. The lounge area was small and the TV was mounted high on the wall, so it wouldn't have been suitable for someone wanting to stay in and relax for the weekend. However, it was perfect for us to use as a comfortable base for a busy weekend out. I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper ask not to be put in a room next to the laundry - then again, it didn'...

I can't complain too much about the hotel...the rooms are nicely appointed. However the bed needs replacing as it has seen too many bodies and pray to god you dont get a room on the road. The traffic continues throughout the night. Make sure you pack ear plugs....you WILL need them. The windows seem to funnel the sound straight through to the bed making my night an absolute horror. I had to put my headphones in to sleep as the constant roaring past of traffic was just too much.
Honestly think that they need to provide ear plugs or ear muffs at least in the two road rooms.

Rooms are nice and clean and very comfortable. The motel owners are lovely and were very accommodating and upgraded us to a larger unit and moved our things in while we were on a tour. Love the fresh milk for tea and coffee. Only slight negative for us was the distance from town.We did have to drive into town for all the things we wanted to do. i would happily recommend this motel.

We stayed for 3 nights , and found the bella tuscany to be a lovely hotel.
The owners Keith and Rae went out of their way to help us out with places to go, and recommended the mission winery as a place to visit, which we did and had a great time.
Very clean and private units, and a good night sleep was had.
Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Ask for a one bedroom unit as you will get a private courtyard, and all units have air conditioning...

We only stayed one night and wished we were there longer. Although there were no views or attractions right near the Motor Lodge it was only a short drive to many wonderful places. The owners were very friendly and helpful and recommended that we drive to Te Mata Peak lookout. I would not have known about it otherwise and, while it was one of the scariest roads I have driven on, the views were truly spectacular. We visited the Silky Oak Chocolate Factory and enjoyed a delicious lunch there. The Mission Winery was amazing, despite being a non-drinker, as it is steeped in history. We loved the Art Deco buildings in Napier and would definitely stay at the Bella Tuscany again as it was one of the nicest places we stayed in NZ!

Room Tip: We stayed in room 7 which had twin single beds in the lounge/dining/kitchen area as well as a separa...

We just spent a night at the Bella Tuscany in Napier. What a wonderful little hotel. Our room was small, but so well equipped we were in awe of the detail that the owners have gone to. We had a charming outdoor patio where we drank tea and ate breakfast. The owners were extremely nice and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great motel with lovely staff to look after you. Spacious rooms with good heat pumps and air conditioning, needed in Napier. Rooms a little dark if you were staying in all day but ideal for those planning to spend time out and about. Will be staying there again, great value for money.

Room Tip: If you dont like road noise, just ask for a room at the back.
