Of the fifteen hotels we stayed in over the last three weeks, the County Hotel stands out for its unique appearance, fascinating history, size of room and fantastic decor and facilities. The library with complimentary port topped off a great overnight stay and I wish we could have extended out stay in Napier. Close to the beach and shops, courteous staff and excellent breakfast at a reasonable price for this standard of accommodation. Definitely recommended.

I have stayed at The County a number of times. The staff are fantastic the rooms plush clean and well appointed. I recommend eating in at Chambers restaurant for a very classy, delicious meal and a wine list to boast about.

We had a most comfortable stay in this lovingly restored Art Deco hotel, situated oin the heart of Napier. The room was amazing and the staff very helpful and friendly. Rounded off by a complimentary glass of port in th library. who could ask for more?

Our room was comfortable & along with the rest of the hotel, oozing old world charm. The room had all the comforts to satisfy the most demanding traveller.
Churchill's Champagne & Snug bar with its Art Deco on steroids atmosphere was a wonderful place for a drink after a harrowing drive in wet conditions from Rotorua.
The staff were friendly & helpful in suggesting ways to fill in time. We had booked 3 nights which was one night too many for this time of year. The weather can turn bleak & chilly without warning. Later in January or February one would need to book at least a week judging by the forthcoming events.
