Chose to stay at Te Pania after seeing your advertisement on stuff.co.nz and thoroughly enjoyed our 1 night stay. Stunning views from our room which was also brilliant. Equally impressed with the service from all staff members. Brilliant to find the windscreen of our vehicle had been cleaned overnight (that was special!!!). Will definatley be back again to stay.

We chose to stay at this hotel after being disappointed by the hotel we had initially booked and the Scenic Hotel accommodated us easily at 10.30pm on a Friday night. The rooms are standard & pleasant and all the rooms have amazing views out to sea. The hotel is very central and a good location for a weekend stay. The staff were pleasant but not overly friendly. Only comment would be why they still have fabric shower curtains, which are always horrible, rather than glass ones. We would stay here again, although as with all chain hotels it is a little souless.

I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Te Pania for two nights in the first weekend of December. The room was beautiful with an equally stunning view. Too tired to eat out the first night, I ordered roomservice - wonderful salmon with crispy skin on a horesradish potato mash. Staff were super friendly and having the hot (lap) pools just across the road was brilliant. I'll be back!!!

Thank you so much for taking the time to review the Hotel. I have passed on your comments to the un-sung heros of the Hotel..our room attendants..they do an amazing job keeping the rooms clean and preaparing them for each guest.Thank you for noticing their efforts.
The team at Te Pania would like to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year.

We stayed here one night in December. We were on the 6th floor, all rooms face the ocean. Our room had a very large window that opened up completely so you could look out and let in the ocean breeze. The beds were very comfortable and they also had a pillow menu, so make sure you look for that before bedtime! The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and everything was just a couple blocks away. The hotel was clean quiet and modern we would stay here again anytime.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the top floor, better view of the ocean.

Based on one or two tripadvisor reviews and the fact I’m a light sleeper we requested rooms on the fifth or six floors due to comments about noise on the lower levels. Thank you.

All that was missing was a balcony but what an enjoyable overnight stay we had on the fifth floor. The rooms were clean and spacious, the beds very comfortable. Room service but no cooking facilities, no microwave just your standard tea/coffee/sugar and milk, a small bar fridge and of course the mini bar with an impressive addition of toothpaste and brush, a big screen tv, small fee for wifi, a reduced fee to swim in the swimming pool across the road and free use of the gym, again across the road. The breakfast buffet was routine but plenty of it. After a hard day touring or shopping there’s a small bar nestled between reception and the restaurant. The hotel is ideally situated, an easy four minute walk to town and across the road from the Marine Parade with its gardens and manicured lawns and numerous activity centres including the already mentioned pool and gym. If you don’t want to have dinner in the hotel I saw a couple of small eateries right next door that looked interesting had time permitted.

Room Tip: I’d recommend the end rooms on either the fifth or six floors (you get an extra viewing window from...

Excellent location, room overlooking the ocean which was lovely
Room was clean and spacious, we had a slight issue and were all set to move rooms but the issue righted itself so we stayed put.
The food in the restaurant was incredible- we had the special for $29.95 and there was so much food we couldnt eat it all! exceptional value for money.
All the staff were very helpful too, great location for looking around Napier and the area.
