We came here after reading they do gluten free baking but unfortunately there was none today as they were too busy so hadn't had time to make anything. They were certainly very busy the whole time we were there but got through the queue efficiently, staff were pleasant. We paid $20 for a sausage roll (nice) with a small side salad (average) and a gluten free toasted cheese and onion sandwich (nice but not properly cooked, had unmelted cheese in it). A bit on the pricey side for what we got...

Five of us ate here two days after Christmas. They were busy, but I don't think this excuses the fact that the dish-washing standards were, to say the least, indifferent. Between the five of us we had two forks and a knife with considerable previous-user food on them, one plate with previous-user egg stuck to it and three plates with large chips out of them. Unfortunately, this overshadowed the whole experience.

We had lunch here on Boxing Day (no surcharge!) and it was great! We both had the Mexican stack, consisting of chicken fillet and beans in a tasty, spicy sauce between pasta sheets. Filling and with a great flavour. A well made soy chocolate completed the meal.
And, what was it busy! Well done!

We only needed a light lunch and found the service to be quick and friendly. Pricing appropriate to the food ordered

We had lunch here, with a seat right by the french doors opening onto the street. While the breeze was pleasant and it was a good spot for people-watching, it is right on a busy intersection so traffic noise occasionally interrupted the conversation.

We had a vegetable pie and a spinach and feta filo, both of which were tasty. The filo wasn't quite heated enough. The green salads that accompanied both dishes contained grated cheese in addition to the vegetables, which I found slightly odd. They were still better salads than served at many places in the Bay though, with nice crisp lettuce and juicy tomatoes. The coffee was very good, and served promptly.

Overall it was good value, with a varied menu. It's a busy place, perhaps a bit lacking in ambience, but very central and conveniently located. I would go again.
