Ideal hotel for couples and families swimming pool has sliding doors so can be used all year round. Has microwave and hob so you can cook a meal. We had 2 rooms one with a large shower the other had a corner bath with shower over. Walk into town in 2 minutes and if car park full you can park on road too free of charge. Also used laundry facility and they were helpful in allowing us to use their washing lines

Superb location, opposite beach and close to great amenities. Clean and tidy room. Great for families for its location to family focussed activities on the marine parade. Lovely going to sleep to the sound of the ocean.......................

Napier is a beautiful place to visit in Nz, full of history and beautiful art deco buildings. The Quality inn is a functional, modern building on Marine Parade, opposite the skate ramp and the beach area.
We took the 2 bed family sized room on the first floor and were impressed with the size of the room, the comfort of the beds in each room and the arrangement of the living room space. A good sized kitchen and dining area made it easy to cater for our kids, with kettle, toaster, fridge, etc. The balcony looked over the roadside, but the traffic is hardly ever that busy and in the evenings, you could sit out and listen to the sea.
The heated pool is clean and well maintained and there is a tiny fitness room with a treadmill and a weights machine.
It's a clean hotel and the staff were courteous. It's not as atmospheric as one of the more historic art deco hotels, but it's in a good location for restaurants, shops and bars.

Room Tip: First floor, beach view family suite was great.

Overall ok place to stay.
Smallish room, slept two adults and one child (queen and single bed in the room) the aircon worked well.
Not much room for putting luggage anywhere.
Kitchenette was sufficient. Hot plate to cook on and a microwave/jug etc.
nothing fancy and we didn't cook there.
Bathroom could have used a bit more elbow grease to clean the dirty grout. Shower was very temperament with temperature settings and not much pressure.
Swimming pool was great. Outdoors and covered. Small area for under 7s to swim, larger area for confident swimmers.
Wouldn't recommend this place for anyone in a wheelchair.
No access to swimming pool for wheelchair users.
Although one floor of the complex and restaurant may have been accessible.
Be prepared for at least 2 flights of stairs from ground to your room, if you are carrying children... luggage/prams etc.
Not very much parking in the complex and there isn't enough for one car per room so be prepared to park on the street and walk back to the complex if it's full.
Great that there was a play park for kids across the 4 lanes of traffic on the beach. Close to eateries, other than the one onsite.
