“Fantastic place!”
Reviewed November 29, 2013 via mobile

Great place for a chilled out Saturday brunch. Love the combination of art, space and quirky-ness. We had fruity crumble and eggy bread - yum. Service could have been quicker but overall worth a visit

“fun place!”

Called in for coffee and cake, love the place especially as I could sit and knit; has an interesting retro feel and like the mix of cafe and gallery

“You either like it or dislike it!”
Reviewed April 7, 2013

The food in the cabinet looked very tasty and filling. Was there on a GrabOne voucher for corn fritters - yummy corn fritters with rasher of bacon and salad.
The place is unique in its setting and decor - you either like it or dislike it! If you like mismatched cutlery, crockery, olde worlde, maybe sharing tables with strangers then you will love this place!
It was an interesting first visit; will go back for another meal next time in Napier.

“Impressive!”
Reviewed March 29, 2013

Was staying at the nearby ViceRoy Hotel and saw The Kitchen Table on a wander downtown. This place is literally 2 doors down so decided to pop in for breakfast. Am really fussy about my coffee and it was really good, as was the home-baked cinnamon twirl. If I had been hungrier would have tried some of the delicious looking cooked brekky options. Absoutely loved the vibe and the design gallery - my kind of place. Will def be back next time I am up this way!

“My kind of place”
Reviewed March 24, 2013

My husband led us here, having seen the sign for the photography gallery, and I was so glad he did! I felt at home the minute I walked in, ordered coffee and picked up the communal knitting from the communal table and did a couple of rows. The space is amazing - you can sit in the gallery space or the cafe - both are pleasant, and we tried each one on separate occasions. The cafe has an appealing, busy collection of photos and bits and pieces, while the gallery space is calm and spacious. Food on both occasions was very good, and the coffee superb - worthy of a second cup.
