We recently stayed in Naviagte Seaside for 1 night during our NZ road trip. While checking in very late, we asked Andrew's suggestion about nearby takeaway. His recommendation about the nearset thai/vietnamese restaurant was spot on. The room looked as if brand new with all amenities. The beds are very comfortable. the free 2 hour wifi internet was adequate.
Kids had a great time when we took a stroll in the seaside park opposite the apartment next morning.
We asked about visiting Napier the next day and winery lunch. His recommendation of taking the Art deco tour and lunch at Black Barn vineyard were execellent.
This is one of the best accomodation we stayed in our recent NZ noth island trip. Highly recommended !!!

Having stayed at the sister property the Crown Hotel several times we thought we'd try Navigate as we were only staying one night. Superb. Spotlessly clean, modern, spacious (wet shower etc). Ahuriri is "the" location in Napier now. Lots of restaurant/cafe/bar options all so easily walkable - quaint shopping/galleries. So much better than seedier Marine parade or city centre. Very convenient and secure underground parking - and very reasonable tarriffs.

Location is nice, close to the beach and easy walking distance to a cute little cluster of shops and restaurants. All went smoothly but a couple of gripes - the sheets were covered in hair so we had to sleep on top of the sheets rather than between them, and it was very noisy in the hallways with foot traffic. It didn't turn out to be too bad as there weren't any real latecomers after midnight but the dragging of suitcases in the morning was as if it was inside your room. Also, we could hear every word of the conversation next door in the morning! Everything's new, the room was clean (except the sheets) and the staff were very friendly and helpful, but it certainly wasn't 5/5.

Room Tip: Ask for a room off the main hallway.

we stayed for 2 nights.
it was thoroughly enjoyable and i highly recommend it. it was exceptionally clean and tasteful.
We were given an upgraded room when i asked if we could have a room that wasnt so close to the foot traffic.View and location was perfect. very close to amenities ie milk and honey cafe and beach .Underneath parking was great .
would defintely return with children too.

Room Tip: Higher floor for privacy unless you dont mind being closer to the general road and foot traffic.

Considering we didnt know where Ahuriri was located in Napier we we very pleasantly suprised. Navigate Seaside is central to everything, walking distance to a selection of great restaurants and local cafe's. The beach is only a stones throw away. The cafe attached to the motel is also very good! We found all the staff at Navigate very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend this motel to others. :)

Well we have stayed in a few motels on Napier's marine parade but this time decided to stay in the beautiful suberb of Ahuriri. I work hard for my money so I search the web for over an hour looking for something that was going to be worth every cent.
We stayed in a superb, spacious family room with all the mod cons and the beds we super comfy!
The manager and receptionist we very accomodating and a pleasure to deal with.
Without a doubt...this is the only motel we will stay with when we next visit Napier!!!
Well Done Navigate team!

I recently had occasion to go to Napier for a weekend. When browsing possible places to stay, I chanced upon 'Navigate' in Ahuriri, a seaside suburb in Napier.

Navigate is a three story motel that has been in existence for only one year. I found the room to be of a good size with 2 double beds, plenty of space and a view of the sea and shoreline. The furnishings were modern, the layout and design likewise. One of the amenities that I really appreciated, was the absolute quiet in the room. with the entrance door closed and the sliding door to the deck also closed, I could hear nothing of the (admittedly) small amount of traffic noise or any noise from adjacent units.
The kitchen facilities were good, with a small but adequate fridge and (best of all!) good quality ground coffee and a coffee plunger.
There was a very good, under-cover garage that was located in the basement. This would be a boon in wet weather.
Finally, the staff in attendance were pleasant and helpful.

Room Tip: See if you can score a room facing the sea directly.
