“Don't go with a full bladder!!!”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

We went on a busy Saturday for an early lunch. The food on offer was interesting but like a lot of these places, pricey. I had the larger of the two pasta salad sizes on offer.$9. It was tasty but not much for the price. I was glad it wasn't long since breakfast. There is a wide range of interesting slices for those like me with a sweet tooth.

I hadn't BEEN since we left the motel. When we got there there were 3 or more people queued for the only unisex toilet. Twice more I got up from lunch to try to relieve my bursting bladder. Twice more the same queue. Eventually I went and found a tree in a private corner of the car park. Luckily I'm a man and luckily it's easy to find a tap to wash your hands in a garden centre. Don't go with a full bladder.

Great little cafe surrounded by gardens. Lovely old fashioned and home made food with an adjoining gift store make this a great place for afternoon tea with the girls.

“Delicious food, beautiful setting”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

We first went here on a Tuesday and that is the only day that it is closed, so we came back the next day after visiting the Mission Estate Winery. They served the most delicious cakes and slices and we sat outside as it was a beautiful sunny day. It was lovely sitting by the flowering wisteria vine among the pots of purple pansies. There is also an aviary with a couple of doves, budgies and some quail. The quail had just had babies and they were so tiny. The staff were very efficient and friendly and the prices reasonable. The setting is lovely and there is also a small but interesting gift shop. There are also plants for sale in the nursery section.

“Lovely tea garden”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

Lovely cafe in the heart of an outdoor garden store. Serves easy and simple foods. Has a whole fridge dedicated to cakes (my kind of cafe!). Eat on tables set out amongst the trees.
