Was lovely to arrive late afternoon to a warm welcome from Maggie and John.
The accommodation is of a high standard and has a beautiful bathroom to complement this. The grounds are manicured and present a lovely setting.
Just a short stroll to the Taradale shopping precinct.
Great nights sleep as situated in a very quite grove.
Breakfast was a delight with a full continental and to top it off two very charming hosts. Sitting there with a feeling of being part of the family one had to drag oneself away to continue the journey.

Stayed one night, fantastic, very quiet & clean, modern decor. Recommend the Queen room with the ensuite. Would also suit a family as there is an adjacent room with single beds. Maggie & John were very friendly and helpful and supplied a full & really tasty continental breakfast. When our friend turned up, he was invited in for a coffee as well. You don't get better than that.

We say it is home away from home, that is the kind of thing one does at home. Glad you felt at ease.

if you want to stay in Napier then we highly recommend you stay here. we stayed at the nest haven for two nights and it was really like home away from home. john and maggie made us feel really welcome from the moment we entered their B and B and thay were the perfect hosts.
The room was really nice, very clean, comfortable and homely and the breakfast was fantastic .
it is about five to ten minutes drive to Napier centre and is walking distance to church road and mission estate winery so a perfect place to stay if you are going to their concerts.
john took us on a tour of Napier and his knowledge of the local area is astonishing so if you want to learn more about the area then go on one of his tours.
the only thing we regret is that we couldnt stay longer. thank you for having us to stay .

Hello TednSandy. As you mentioned, it was a fantastic weekend. We just could not leave you to find out for yourselves. Yes, the adition of clothing items (props) did help with joining and fitting in. We are very glad you enjoyed the accommodation and your stay in Napier. We are glad we helped to make your stay a memorable one. Thank you for your review.

A few minutes drive from the centre of town but in a quiet suberb of Napier. John and Margaret certainly made us feel welcome and Margaret made us a cup of tea with biscuits on arrival. Our room was very clean and comfortable, if a little on the small side when you are toting large suitcases! We arrived at the beginning of the Art Deco weekend, unbeknown to us, but we were encouraged to join in the festivities and even provided with accessories to wear to get us into the party spirit - such a pity we couldn't hang around for the parade the following day. Our breakfast was taken along with the hosts and other guests, all very interested and interesting to chat to. Our stay had a real homely feel to it and we really enjoyed meeting Margaret and John - thank you both!

John and Margaret are wonderful hosts. Stayed two nights in their lovely house and they made us feel really at home. John took us on his Hawkes Bay Tour and this is a brilliant way to see the area if you only have a short time in Napier. It includes an insight into the Art Deco history of the town as well as a visit to a winery and the local countryside. John's knowledge of the area is excellent and he has a very good way of delivering the information. John kindly emailed some additional photographs of the area to us on our return to the UK. Thank you John and Margaret for a wonderful stay.
