My wife & I stayed at the Mission B&B for the Easter long weekend.

We really enjoyed our stay. Robert & Wendy are fantastic hosts with a passion for the region and for looking after their guests.

We had the 'annex' room which isn't joined to the main house. It's got a fab shower and a little deck which would be lovely in the summer evenings. The bed was comfy and there was also a fridge, sofa and tea & coffee facilities in the room.

In the main house was a guest lounge with freeview TV and a DVD player, this was a great place to relax and also to have a good chat with other guests.

Breakfast was far and away the best we've ever had at a B&B. Different every day, but always started with a fruit platter (Pineapple, Mango, Fejoa, Apple Strawberry, Grape etc WOW!!), there was fresh tea & coffee, homemade juice and muesli, endless toast and a cooked varying daily (over 4 days) from Waffles (homemade) to a full english. A choice of time to have brekkie and the ability to eat outside (we braved the weather on easter Monday) just made it wonderful.

We'd definately stay again when we visit Napier again. Really great place. Thanks R&W

There cannot be a more enjoyable experience than doing a very personalised fine wine tour with Robert whilst sitting on his deck. There is little need to visit the surrounding boutique wineries when your host is so knowledgeable, informative and hospitable. That said the local wineries recommended by Robert are exceptional and purchases allowed us to enjoy fine wines, reminding us of our too brief stay at Mission B&B, whilst enjoying the rest of NZ.
Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Guest lounge was large, comfortable and well equipped with an entertainment centre.
Wendy and Robert are generous hosts and their breakfasts are superb.
We hope to visit them again.

Robert and Wendy operate one of the finest B&Bs that we've ever stayed at. Their cozy home is a short walk from Mission Winery and its great restaurant and a 10 minute drive to town. We were greeted on our first evening with a huge spread of cheese, fruits and local wine.

Breakfast is as good as it gets, and Robert cooks the tastiest omelette you'll ever have. He is also an expert on the local wine industry, making this B&B a handy place for information if you're visiting local vineayrds. Highly recommened.

Thank you for the lovely compliments. It's gratifying when guests appreciate our efforts.
It's our pleasure to introduce this regions world class wines & great foods.
Located an easy walk to two of NZ's oldest wineries and fine dining: Mission & Church Road is indeed a plus for us. Napier CBD & Ahurihi old port are a short 7 minute drive for even more options.
p.s.
We really enjoyed the Pinot Noir challenge, 'A'.
cheers! RS & W

We stayed for 3 nights in early February and had excellent hospitality from Robert and Wendy throughout. Beds were comfortable and breakfasts a work of art. The B&B is within easy walking distance of the Mission Estate where Robert booked us in for dinner for my birthday. He also arranged a delightful wine and nibbles get together with the other guests as a birthday celebration for me. His knowledge of local wines is
comprehensive and he provided extremely valuable advice on wineries to visit. His recommendation for 'fush and chups' should be snapped up. As an introduction to NZ B&B it was first rate.

Room Tip: Go for an en suite as not all are.

We had 2 wonderful nights at this top notch B&B. If you love wine , (or not) this is definitely the place to stay in Napier. The hosts Robert and Wendy both love wine and Robert is an expert on the Napier area wineries. We sampled some exquisite wines during our stay and one day Robert took us on a wine tour of his favorite wineries, a memorable day. Our room was spotless, with a luxurious bathroom and the breakfasts were delicious. Both hosts were lovely people and made us feel very comfortable in their home.

Thank you for coming to us, and taking time to review when you returned home. It was our pleasure hosting such an ATHLETIC couple! The bicycles were purchased for our guests to use whilst visiting this amazing city of Napier. LOTs of new cycle and walking tracks in the past year to the existing 180kms. We appreciate the kinds words about our kitchen, too. Robert Simon would be very cross if anyone left his table hungry. (hasn't happened yet)!. We use best local gourmet ingredients, and believe breakfast is the day's most important meal. Hope to see you both for a longer stay next time, warm regards, RS & Wendy

Hard to imagine that there could be a better B & B. The hosts Robert and Wendy were absolutely delightful. The B&B is near the Mission Estate Winery in a quiet residential neighbouhood. The good was plentifula nd delicious. Wonderful generosity from the hosts offering great advice, suggestions and even lent us their bicycles. Enjoyed 3 superb days here and could have stayed much longer. Great place to stay!

We stayed at Mission B & B on one of Napier's busiest weekends of the year for the Mission Estate annual concert. Little did we know the enormity of the weekend when we purchased our concert tickets. We were very fortunate to get accommodation with Robert and Wendy due to a last minute cancellation, and being only 250 metres from Mission Estate was a huge bonus. We usually stay in hotels so didn't quite know what to expect at a B & B. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by Robert and Wendy followed by a lovely platter of local foods shared on the deck. Our ensuite room was gorgeous. The breakfast each day was amazing. We had the pleasure of staying with Robert and Wendy for 4 nights and by the end of our stay it felt like we had known them for years. We are not wine connoisseurs but Robert definately knows, and is very passionate, about the local wines and wineries. We absolutely recommend this property.

Much appreciation for taking time to post your review of your stay with us last weekend. Mission Concert Weekend IS indeed the busiest few days of the year, and it was OUR good fortune you chose to come to us.
Thank you for being such gracious guests.
The 'Mission' Room, where you stayed has a private entrance and backs onto the deck and a view to the Taipo stream and the Sugarloaf peak, a lovely 20 minute walk away, and great 360degree views. All vineyards until 25 years ago, it now boasts great walking & cycling tracks. Our gardens and mature trees afford privacy. It feels like 'country' right here in NAPIER CITY. We are well pleased you enjoyed your 1st visit, and hope you return soon.
warm regards, Robert Simon & Wendy; Mission B&B on the Avenue, Napier's premier wine themed B&B.
