Stayed here on our last night in NZ. What a great place and our room was so big and so very comfortable. Everything was very clean and the bed was so comfy!
We ordered breakfast for next morning as it was reasonably priced unlike some other motels and it was very good. Motel situated on north side of town (about 7-8 minutes) so very handy for travelling on to Auckland airport. Would definitely recommend this motel to anyone else.

We stayed here in late feb on the way to Whakatane for a wedding. We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit with our own spa in the courtyard which was just what we needed after an early flight from Melbourne. The shower was amazing and the unit had everything we needed. Will definitely recommend to anyone staying in Hamilton.

Stayed here in Feb 2012 for a few nights. Great location if you have a car as there is a delicious group of gourmet shops across the way. However, despite the airy large bathroom, I must admit I found the room overall claustrophobic. The room faced south and had dark wood throughout with the only light for the front of the room which as it was on a walkway I kept the dark blinds closed for privacy. The bedroom was an internal one, ie no window. Also, for a 5-star eco-hotel I wondered why they didn't have a recycle bin in the room, nor asked guests to re-use their towels. Dont' think of this as one hotel where you could slip on your sneakers and go for a run as it's parallel to the main road into Hamilton and semi-industrialised around the hotel so not conducive to exercise. I was in Hamilton for business, and think in future I'd stay somewhere brighter.

Room Tip: Has its own microwave and a wide range of teas.

We stayed here very recently and chose just a standard studio unit. What a lovely surprise as the unit was absolutely huge! I have stayed in other studio units over the years and some of them are extremely small but this was an exception being very spacious. Plenty of room for two people but even 4 could stay comfortably.
The unit was very well appointed with good decor, very clean and everything was in excellent repair. The bathroom was huge with a great roomy shower and a lovely vanity. Lots of bathroom vanity items were provided - shampoo, tissues etc and the towels were lovely and thick. Plenty of room for cooking with 2 ceramic hotplates and a microwave. There was also plenty of cutlery and crockery - not the usual 2 cups, mugs and plates and two of each item of cutlery which is most annoying when staying a few days.
The motel is very handy to everything with a supermarket close by and takeaway restaurants very close. The Base shopping centre is literally a 5 min drive away and easy to walk to if you don't have transport tho the road across to it is very busy.
About my only complaints could be the motorway noise as the highway close by is heavily used and busy tho we weren't too bothered by it. The pillows also were a little flat so replacing those could be a good thing! More towel hanging space in the bathroom wouldn't go amiss either as there was plenty of wall space for another towel rail or better still a heated towel rail! These are minor things tho, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying here.

Room Tip: Maybe enquire about rooms away from the motorway.

Our family stayed here for 4 days over the 2011 new year in a family unit, the room was beautiful, cleaned every day, very roomy. Loved the dishwasher in the kitchen. The kids(1&3) loved the outdoor spa and the stairs. Excellent location, very close to shopping centres and Hamilton. Loved it. We will definitely stay here when we return to NZ.

Room Tip: Family unit excellent for kids

We chose this motel as it was on the Auckland side of Hamilton, and we wanted an early start the next day. The motel room was large and very clean, good bathroom, great bed, small kitchenette. Free internet. We slept with the windows open and didnt hear any road noise. It is very close to a big shopping centre. We would definitely stay here again if in Hamilton.
Enjoyed a great dinner at Palate - Victoria Street Hamilton that night. And we went to the Hamilton Botanical Gardens on arrival in Hamilton - truely a spectacular place to visit.
