New Tapas bar in Hamilton - great to see!! We were just visiting Hamilton as we now live in Sydney. Very cute vintage decor in Clarence and has a good feel to it. Wait Staff are friendly and most know what theyre doing, however some may be new to it. Very tasty food!!! However quite pricey ($110 for 2 people with tapas shared and 2 drinks each). Would go back again :)

First time patron yesterday. The place was crowded and busy. Justifiably so.
The range and apparent quality rolls & cakes on offer made choosing brunch difficult. Went with the scrambled eggs and they were excellent.

Most impressive was that our coffees arrived within 1-2 mins of our being seated! And while our meals took perhaps 15-20 minutes, understandable in this busy environment, we were kept very well informed of progress. When eventually we ordered a refill of our coffees and asked if we need to order and pay at the counter (as we had when ordering our meals) were airily told "pay on your way out". Trusting.
An impressive place, suffering only from the trendy jamming in of assorted tables and chairs.
Recommend. And I will be back.

A great place to have a lunch with friends. Amazing choice of foods of all tastes and varieties. I am on a high protein diet and often struggle at a cafe to find something that isn't full of carb loaded breads and pastries, but at this lovely little cafe there were so many choices that pretty much every diet type is catered for without being obvious. We were a group of 6 and everyone really enjoyed their food, which on a very busy day was delivered quite quickly from the kitchen once ordered. I had a stuffed fillet of chicken, which came with a tiny green salad and trimmings of caramalised onion and what seemed to be julienned beetroot in a vinagrette dressing. I have often found places overcook this type of chicken item, but here it was still moist and not the slightest bit dry and the tomato/hummus type stuffing was a very subtle additional flavouring - overall - absolutely perfect for a yummie lunch.
Even though I can't have sweets the range of delicious cake and dessert items had my mouth watering just looking at how beautifully they were presented in the cabinets. Two of our group had dessert and said it was absolutely delicious.
I also like that they have a good mix of indoor and outdoor dining areas, with shaded and open air tables in the two outside dining areas and a mix of smaller and larger seating tables both inside and out.
We would definitely return again and no doubt will do so soon.

I'm a regular for lunch at Mavis & Co, and I dine in or take away. The food is always fresh, tasty and amazing. There can sometimes be a wait, but it's always worth it.

Mavis by day, Clarence by night - such a neat little concept. Both deliver in spades. Enjoy sharing meals with friends at Tapas. Great food, reasonably priced. There's jazz on Thursday evening. Happy to return again and again.
