We had two great days with Jim from Archer Tours, 11 of us from the Celebrity Solstice, our first visit to New Zealand. Jim was waiting for us when the ship docked in Tauranga, we spent a great day touring around Kiwi 360, Te Puia Cultural Center at Rotorua. Value for money, tour as described. Day two was a day Trip to Auckland, Jim again meeting us at the dock, saw the beauty of the area leisurely, there was never any rush to meet deadlines and we saw more than we expected. Another value for money trip as described and more. I would highly recommend Jim and Archer Tours to anyone who would like to see the real New Zealand. There was never any worry that we wouldn't miss the ship as he was well aware of what time we needed to be back on board. He is knowledgeable, personable and likes to have a good laugh with everyone. Thanks Jim for 2 great and memorable days!

We spent 8 glorious days in NZ. The entire trip was leisurely and very informative thanks to Jim. Throughout our stay Jim provided top notch quality service and took us to many places that we would not have had the opportunity to stop off and look had we opted to take the usual large organized tours - (Auckland - Coromandel Peninsula - Tauranga - Rotorua - Taupo - Auckland).

We covered and did a lot of things in the short duration of the trip and it never felt rushed. The entire pace of our trip was just right.

Throughout the trip there were frequent stops at offbeat areas that offered spectacular views and Jim's local knowledge and his ability to engage with the group was very impressive.

We hope to visit NZ again in a few years this time - South Island and we will definitely use Jim's services again.

Jim the kids enjoyed themselves thoroughly and still ask about you.

A group of 10 of us from the cruise ship Millennium took a tour with Jim in Tauranga. We could not have been happier. Jim is incredibly efficient and knowledgable, and we saw the real culture of the area. While other tours, including some privately booked ones, took their people to the tourist sites, Jim took us to places that were not filled with buses of people. He arranged the tour so that we avoided the crowds, and the Maori experience that we had, unlike everyone else, was real. There are two villages, as I understand it..the one one that the tours take you to, where the ceremony is staged outside the meeting hall...and the one we went to where we experienced an actual ceremony in the Maori meeting hall. Jim took us to a special guide there who got us into a side door so that we did not have to fight for seats like others. The entire day was an incredible experience and I could not recommend Archer more highly. If you are booking a tour in Tauranga, this should be your choice..and if you are on a cruise ship..you'll see far more, for less money, and there is no concern about getting back in time for the ship's departure, as Jim is well aware of the time frame and the need to get back. Highly recommend.

We booked this Rotorua Tour before we left Australia. This was one of the best things we have done. The tour was a great experience with jim proving to be a knowledgable and eloquent guide.
unlike some guides, jim stayed with us with a full commentary on all we were seeing. all entry fees were included and we were able to pay by cash or card when he delivered us back to the ship. I would definitely recommend this tour as far and away better and less expensive than the on shore excursions available from the ship.
