“Wow, Wow an d Wow”
Reviewed February 19, 2013

Have been to the gardens for a few weddings, craft fairs etc but taking the grandchildren along to the Teddy Bears picnic was awesome. It did out price a few families but that is the fault of commercialism these days. The gardens are very well done and there are many relaxing spots to just sit and ponder the day.

“What a place and FREE!!”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

So impressed! Went to the info centre expecting to have to buy an entry ticket and it was free. The Themed Gardens were a real treat and took so much longer to stroll than it appeared on paper. These normally close at 6pm but if there is an event in one of them in the evening as when we visited then they are closed at 5pm. The rest of Hamilton Gardens is open 24/7! The cafe with terrace overlooking the lake is superb. Nothing too much trouble for the staff even though when we ate it was early evening and they were preparing for an even later that evening. The food was wonderful, coffee really good. Wish we could visit again and 'do' more of the gardens but we leave for the UK in a day or two and have more places to see before we go.

“Lovely place”
Reviewed February 13, 2013

We have visited the gardens three times and it always has something new. There is so much to see. This time we found lots of gardens we missed before on the far side of the lake. We had lovely coffee and icecream in the cafe. There is an amazing wood carving in the building opposite the cafe. We walked back into Hamilton along the river. A really good family day out.
