Lots of bars and restaurants as you walk along, and with outdoor seating also. Sadly there are also lots of vacant shops... Neat place to wander and do a bit of people watching.

The usual with K road. Lots of shops, and bars. If you are looking for an alternative night out then you will enjoy the entertainment.

My apartment was at the top of Symonds St so K-road was quite handy for takeaways, breakfasts etc as there are plenty of options along this road. I wouldn't say it was anything special - just a great road for dining. You can catch the TrafficLink bus along here as well.

We rode the city bus and got off near the Grafton Bridge to walk this legendary heritage street. We had a small guide book and were able to point out the historical structures at both sides of the road. There are banks, lots of retail shops, hotels, boardinghouses, and churches. One interesting structure was Women’s Restrooms built to serve the large number of female shoppers with children. The modern structure replaced the original 1920’s building.
Some of the shops were founded late 1800’s
