Went here on a night photo shoot - lots of places to eat and interesting sights. Once the main red light district it has come a long way since

so many great places to visit on K Road - vintage and alternative - check out Hard Luck Cafe for coffee, then swing across the road into St Kevin's Arcade for a bit of vintage shopping - and don't forget Iko Iko on the way home for some fabulous kitsch gifts

diverse! lots of character and characters. It is generally a friendly place (more so than Queen St) Good place to people watch in the evenings - try the Verona and sit outside. St Kevins arcade is a blast from the past. Good vintage clothing stores (bit pricey).

Love the contrast between music venues, gay bars, really bad kareoke bars, strips clubs and the like. Seems less people go here now the new areas have opened up down on the wharf. Fave bar is Wine Cellar.

Not sure I'd want to be on this road on a weekend with all the night clubs. Travel along this road by bus on my commute home and it always looks a bit seedy.
