“Luke warm food Very High prices”
Reviewed June 21, 2012

$10.50 for a glass of beer (albeit imported) is a bit much by my standards. Starter and main course arrived at the same time. Food was luke warm and poorly presented. Not what I expected from the prices being charged.

“Bring your torch but food is worth it”
Reviewed June 12, 2012

Went there for family dinner on a Friday night.
The lights were so low we couldn't see the menu; even the waitress mentioned everyone complains and the manager would not turn them up. There were even people using a torch at a couple of tables (they surely must be regulars?). Come on, this has gone from cool to seriously un-cool.

Food was good, pot of mussels got the nod from the girls, the steak was good but my salt and pepper squid was not much bigger than what I would call an entree. Less than 12 small pieces of squid. The sauce was most excellent however.

Beers were exxy; $14.50 for a 500ml blonde beer. I suppose you pay for the 'experience'.

Overall not a bad run but please turn the lights up, put candles on the tables, supply torches or stick a warning sign on the front door.

“Great deal”
Reviewed May 28, 2012

Went here for the half price mussel Monday deal, which was a real bargain. However the service was a little odd at first, they forgot or lost our booking and we had to just find a seat. It was fine that we did that but they made it confusing.Food was good and overall really great place to eat.

“Ideal”
Reviewed May 25, 2012

Took my Dad here during his visit to me in New Zealand. They certainly catered for his needs, with a wide variety of different beers and some mouth-watering mussels. Thanks Yohann Heidi and Steve for a great few nights!
