My husband and I went to New Zealand on our honeymoon last year. This was one of my favorite things we did while we were there. Stu and Donna were WONDERFUL, very knowledgeable and friendly hosts. It was a great way to experience their culture, and I highly recommend taking this tour! It's in Auckland - very easy drive to surrounding attractions.

What an incredible day! Not your typical tour, this is what we wish we could experience when visiting in country. Local, warm, heartfelt hospitality! It was a fabulous day thanks to Stu and Donna and their girls. Have you ever seen the local sights, gone to someone home, had lunch as good as your mom would make and enjoy their world, just as it is? It was wonderful. Every moment. What lovely folks, what a fantastic visit. We were sad to leave....

Wow!
During our 12 year of operating, we’ve had many wonderful comments like these, and we are really humbled by what you have written. We are, just as you imply; “not your typical tour”. It’s really important to us to be “just as it is”. (We’ve always done this, and we will continue to do so). We tend to attract the type of person who wants this difference in a tour company that will be looking after them. Thank you for being one of the people who has “felt” the way were operate, and expressing it here on TA!
Nga mihi nui,
Donna & Stu.

We were met at the dockside after leaving the Celebrity Solstice by Stu about 10.30am & taken on board an airconditioned coach for our tour, we 1st went to Rainforest at Waitakere Ranges Regional Park and then onto the Winery Soljans at Kumea were we tasted some lovely wines. Next we were off to the Homstead of Donna & Stu at Muriwai where we were welcomed by Donna & their 2 lovely daughters, lunch was served including Lamb Chops we then saw a demonstration of sheep shearing before exploring the farm. We then travelled by coach to nearby Muriwai Beach to see the Gannet Colony & walk along the black sandy beach before returning to the farm for afternoon tea, coffee & dessert including Pavlova with HUGE Strawberries.
We left the farm & were taken to Craftworld at Westgate Shopping Centre to buy some gifts for home. We then were taken back to our ship arriving about 6.30pm. All in all it was a great day out & Donna, Stu & their 2 Daughters made us feel right at home. Well worth doing this tour.

Kia ora,
Many thanks for writing this detailed account of your tour with us. We had a larger than usual group that day, in fact it was very busy for the whole of Auckland with the cruise boat in port that day, with many venues being fully booked. On such large shore excursion tours, we are fortunate to be able to provide our special ‘Kiwiana BBQ’ at our home. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed this, as having you all dine at our farm, eating home-cooked foods, and meeting our daughters is part of what makes this tour unique. The strawberries were from our local grower, who did a special order for us, and we are grateful to CraftWorld who will keep the shop open after hours solely for our select groups.
We trust you will enjoy your future travels, and we wish you all the best.
Regards,
Donna & Stu.

This was an amazing tour, made so not only by the beautiful places Stu brought us, but by Stu and Donna themselves. Two nicer people are not possible to find and they did everything to make our tour wonderful and so memorable. Stu picked us up and took us to the rainforest, the craft market, a winery for wine tasting, the to bees online cafe for honey and a delicious lunch. Next off to the west coast for black sand beaches and the gannet colony. As if that wasn't great enough, it was off to their sheep farm to a wonderful Maori welcome and the feeling that we were home with friends. And the lambs? OMG the lambs! We got to feed them and hold them and just find such delight in them. We toured the whole farm and were amazed at what Stu and Donna do. Donna made some great treats for us along with tea and then her Pavlova, which as someone else said, is the best we found anywhere else! We hated for the tour to end but want to let everyone know not to miss this experience! Thank you Stu and Donna!

Hello there,
It’s good to hear you arrived home safely after your trip. My, you had such a long time in NZ! It was nice to hear you found our tour “the highlight of your trip and the best tour ever” so thank you for writing this on Tripadvisor.
It was a very special time at our farm with all the newborn lambs. For people who have pre-booked to come on our tour during this time, we “suggest” (…not buy!) they like our Facebook page so they can see all about our farm’s daily happenings. Once this was suggested to you, you were right-on in there, able to see the very lambs you ended up holding during the tour. We're pleased we still have plenty of activity to hold your interest, as even now you are still a regular viewer of our “lives”.
We so enjoyed our day with you too....thanks for choosing our tour!
Best regards,
Donna & Stu.

I travelled to Auckland from Sydney for the weekend to celebrate my 25th birthday and I could not have joined a better tour than this! My family and I had such a fantastic time with Donna and Stuart! They have a beautiful farm and it was amazing to get a chance to feed the baby lambs and full grown sheep!Lunch at Beesonline cafe was delicious and while waiting for your meal, you get to try a variety of honey. Donna made some yummy treats for us for tea and I honestly think her Pavlova is the best one I've ever had. If you want a perfect experience of the countryside in Auckland, book this tour!!!I would love to do it all over again :)

Hello there,
Thank you for writing into Tripadvisor.
It was a lovely day we spent with you all! Visiting Auckland for a short time, one wants to experience as much as possible; not only without time wasted traveling, but also touring in a cost-effective way. Feedback has shown our tour achieves both of these, so we are pleased you too found our tour agreeable.
Lunches (which are included in the price of our tours), are often at BeesOnline as they supply great service and food to our guests.
You can keep up-to-date on our lambies via our Facebook page, and our Pavlova recipe is on our website.
Thanks for taking our tour…we’d love to see you back if you visit Auckland again!
Best regards,
Donna & Stu.
