“Great Outing!”
Reviewed October 27, 2012

Awesome start to our NZ holiday thanks to Coast to Coast Tours. Had a lovely time seeing the sights with Stuart and an even lovelier visit to the farm where we got to see all the animals and enjoy afternoon tea with Donna as well. Definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Auckland.

Hello Desiree,
Many thanks for writing on TA so soon after your trip to New Zealand…we know you have only just returned home! We are pleased to hear that you had a nice time on our tour (as did we, with meeting you both!). Thank you for stating that you could recommend us too, because as a very small business (who also chooses to operate sustainably and solely *in* Auckland), readers of this can hear it from someone who has actually experienced our services.
Best wishes for your future travels,
Donna & Stu.

Hello there!
Many thanks for your kind words. We had a great time meeting you and your parents too! Thanks for choosing our tour for your weekend trip over from Sydney to Auckland. Since the number one thing your parents wanted to see in New Zealand was a "real" sheep farm, we are pleased (especially with us being so close to the city), that we could fulfill that dream for them too.
Please pass on our best regards to your parents, and maybe we might see you again.
Warm wishes,
Donna + Stu.

“Absolutely amazing day.”
Reviewed August 18, 2012

While visiting Auckland via our cruise ship we were lucky enough to stay over night in port, which gave us plenty of time to spend the day on this amazing tour with Donna & Stu.
We were picked up on time just outside the terminal, with no hassles finding our touring van.
The tour fits in some wonderful sites and Stu is full of information along the way.
The highlight for us was the hospitality on there farm. If you love animals and don't mind being loved by them, this will be a day you'll never forget. My 12 year old daughter has been lucky enough to travel around the world with us, but this day will stay with her for ever. YES IT"S THAT GOOD!!!!.
Donna is also the best cook. Try all her NZ goodies, you will want to come back for more.
If it's one tour that you decide on when visiting NZ, make sure it's this one.
Thank you Donna & Stu for the most amazing day, we will never forget it.

Hello Mary-anne, Glenn and Dipti,
Firstly, we are sorry to hear the trouble you had in having this review passed for posting. We do thank you for your perseverance…this must have been of enormous importance to have you try 3 times! But it’s here now and very much appreciated.
We too had a great time hosting you and your family. We get much pleasure when folk enjoy themselves, and we take great pride in knowing that all they’ve experienced was achievable within 40 minutes of Downtown. Not requiring the long traveling (that several Auckland tours do, going to out-of-Auckland places), our tour has little time spent in the bus, and touring with operators who actually *live* in the region you are touring, has you the tourist “see things like a local”.
So glad that you enjoyed our farm too…Oh! How we wish Dipti was here now, as we have lots (and lots) of cute baby lambs at the moment, but I have put many photos and videos on our Facebook page…and check our “special” black lamb (no, it hasn’t been dyed), this is a naturally occurring genetic throwback.
Hope we get to see you at a later date as you mentioned you would be visiting Auckland again.
Ka kite ano,
Donna & Stu.

“Beautiful start to our NZ adventure!”
Reviewed June 19, 2012

We were worried that flying all night and immediately jumping on a train to downtown Auckland to meet Stu for the Coast to Coast Tour would be too much for us. Those fears were definitely unfounded, as we could not have had a better introduction to New Zealand culture. The day was packed full of many great stops...Rain forest, Local Craft Gallery Black Sand Beach, Winery(bought some very nice port), beautiful lunch w/ the bees and ended the tour being warmly greeted by Donna at their gorgeous farm. She started with a very interesting history of her people, the Maori's and then took us on a tour of their place. The sheep were very friendly and we even fed the baby(Girlie) with a bottle! We were then treated to tea along with lots of homemade goodies. Stu insisted on driving us all the way back to our hotel(so we wouldn't have to take the train). We're so glad we decided on the Coast to Coast tour. Stu and Donna went out of their way to give a beautiful start to our New Zealand adventure.

Hello Ladies!
Many thanks for writing into TA.
Well we think you were brave tackling a full day tour having just arrived after a long plane flight - (only because it’s something we know we could not do!!!), so we are ever glad to hear that you didn’t find our Ultimate tour option too exhausting. We love showing folk around the region where we live as there are lots of experiences to enjoy, and we are pleased you liked coming into our Homestead, hearing the stories and sampling the homemade fare.
Absolutely no problem taking you back to your Hotel…we couldn’t just abandon you to leave you waiting for a train!!
Trust you had a great time in New Zealand, and we wish you all the best for your future travels.
Regards,
Donna + Stu.

“Awesome and Enlightening”
Reviewed April 29, 2012

We had the pleasure of being hosted by Donna and Stu during a recent trip to NZ. The cultural and historical information they provided and the sites they took us to visit were wonderful. We only had a couple days in NZ and this tour allowed us to see much of Auckland's highlights in a relatively short period of time. We cannot thank them enough for hosting us for the day! This tour is strongly recommended and well worth the money. Just do it!

Kia ora,
Thanks for taking time out to place your comments here on TA.
Knowing how busy life is these days, we'd also like to acknowledge your prompt feedback.
It is a two-way exchange for us in hosting guests you know…as we enjoy engaging with people too!
We are so lucky to have so many great things to see and do right on “our” doorstep. Being able to share the history and first-hand experiences we have had about the region where our family has lived and farmed since 1922 is a unique feature with our tour, and our visitors really appreciate this point-of-difference. Like you, they also amaze that in just 40 minutes they can be in the countryside and enjoying their tour without needing to travel those long distances often associated with other tours that head out of the Auckland district.
We hope your future travels go well.
Best regards,
Donna + Stu
