This was our favorite special restaurant, but since the decor and menu change it is an about face. The decor used to be warm and inviting, now it is stark and sterile.
There used to be an excellent Vegetarian Platter, with a set menu of izakaya style beautifully crafted dishes. Now there are only limited veggie options, all expensive and small and not very appealing. The best value was the endamame beans at $5. But $18 for beetroot capacio was pathetic, which was essentially 5 thin slices of beetroot, with a small dollop of glop and a quarter walnut with a small sprinkle of greens. It was served on a bread and butter plate and there was more plate showing than food covering it.
The staff are still friendly and service is still good, but alas without the food and decor to match, this was the last time for us.
