Book a table for 4 for the best seats. We were lucky for a clear evening for our reservation. Impeccable service, lovely food for all 3 courses and for $69 set menu which included a tower admission so pretty good value. Wine list small and pretty pricy! so we only had one bottle for the whole meal.

The view, to say the least, is incredible. At the top of the Skycity tower, this rotating restaurant gives you the best view of Auckland. The restaurant menu consists of a 3 course table d'hote for $69 and the choices are excellent. All three courses were good as was the service. Limited wine list though.

We've been living in Auckland for 10 years and have been saving a visit to Orbit for a special occasion. What better than the last night of visiting relatives holiday in NZ along with their impending 50th wedding anniversary?
The entire evening was fantastic - great service from start to finish, delicious food and fine wine. We would definitely go here again for another super special celebration.
We arrived slightly early so headed to the Observation Deck for 15 minutes before heading to the restaurant. Our table was for 6.30pm and was ready and waiting when we arrived. We enjoyed 2 full rotations whilst having a delicious meal with the best scenery possible, including a lovely sunset and a harbour full of yacht racing activity. After dinner we headed to the Observation Deck again, as by this point it was fully dark and it gives you a totally different perspective of the beautiful City of Sails.

we booked orbit in the last minute, as it was suggested by many of the tourists. We did get a seat only by 9 pm . Firstly we ordered drinks and the waitress was cordial enough to check if they could prepare a cocktail out of the menu. They did do that. Being vegetarians, the variety was way too limited . We ordered entree' and main course and was sufficient for 2 . Skipped dessert. the view was so amazing with the lights and with the open kitchen.

Had a high tea session yesterday , environment was outstanding when you can see Auckland from a high top floor, and it is revolving that something unique, only one restaurant in auckland have this kind of environment.

High tea food was average, as the sweet is more than the savoury . It did not balance the taste for it. The last bit of high tea had been like sick of sweet stuff. But quality wise, food was on standard.

Service - that was terrible. When we are serve on the table, my cup was a used cup but was set up on a setting. That actually had spoil the atmosphere for the high tea for a bit. The waiter did apologize and say it should not happen and went off . Then he went to served other table that came later than us on offering tea choice, when my cup was still not back. What a terrible apologize is that. And nearly the end we ask for a latte, is hard to get a waiter. When i got one waiter , he say your session waiter will serve you. And our latte took about 15 min.
