This place has everything going for it . Superb selection of beers, wonderful old building and the food is now stepping up. This is a must do for anyone visiting Auckland. An Oasis in a mostly barren desert of watering holes.

Take a range of beers brewed on the premises, add an interesdting menu of pub food, place it in a timber panel lined ex public library and you have Galbraith's Ale House.
Add Richard Galbraith as master brewer you have beer heaven. Just work on having a taxi home!!!

I love this place because you can buy real beer! Oh how nice it is to get away from the continuous fermentation of the big boys.
