I have had some bad eggs benedict in my time but the ones at Frasers plumbed new depths. No spinach and if they had seen salmon it was only when one swam past. Couple that with tables jammed so tight that the chairs get in the road of each other and you have a place to avoid. The coffee was OK otherwise the rating would have been lower.

It was very good couple of years ago. Fresh tasty homemade counter and kitchen food, excellent coffee, good service, reasonable price and warm atmosphere. But now it all dissapeared, gone back to an very average cafe. Feel soory for them.

Frasers is a staple in Mt Eden and always well patroned. The blackboard menu has the usual fare and they allow 'build a breakfast' ordering single items (poached egg, rashers of bacon...). The team are very friendly and the cafe has a family/local feel. The kitchen in quick, coffee quite strong. Oddly they took the 'side' of home style baked beans off the menu (poorer for it & staff chatted to each other to say that it was popular & a shame). Good value casual cafe.

i work in the food trade and was chatting to my employer about what makes a busy restaurant and frasers entered the conversation. My boss liked it for its busyness and shabby chic look whereas i had the opposite opinion, it looks dirty, has child waiters in their outdoor/going out attire and generally poorly trained staff. Hey ho. My advice for what its worth if the restaurant is grubby in the places they let you see what about the places they dont?
After an initial slightly confusing ordering process my brunch was fine, simple eggs but the place was heaving, they must be doing something right. To its credit its marginally cleanerr than circus circus and more interesting than the frankly gay looking mozaic opposite.

Awesome breakfast menu with reasonable portions and price. Lovely cakes at the counter. Good service. Only problem is the jam packed tables and chairs, you can barely walk around when full.
