Lovely gardens, nice walks, great views, and an interesting memorial to MJ Savage, an important Labour Prime Minister during the middle of the 20th Century. A very agreeable place to visit.
This was another beautiful spot to visit. Although it was a memorial park, it offered another GREAT view of the city.
Bastion point was the seat of a controversy in the day with protesters camping onit and the Maori protesting their rights to there own land. Micky Savage would have laughed as he was all for human rights. The ,morial is steeped in mana and I personally find it relaxing and peaceful just to be in the area.
like any other park. great views but not a place i would go back to.Was part of a bus trip otherwise would not go.
It was a rather cool day when we visited but the memorial itself is amazing. Beautifully maintained. We didn't spend much time here but enough to read the monument etc.
