We stayed here for 3 nights on arrival in NZ. What a great place to recover from the jet lag! The location is amazing, great views of the harbour bridge and within easy walking distance of shops, sky tower, restaurants and the ferry terminal is literally just round the corner. It was lovely being able to have such a great view and watch the world go by when waking early morning due to the time difference. A highlight was when one of the tall ships docked directly outside the apartment.
The apartment we had was very spacious, clean and the kitchen was very well equipped, as another reviewer has commented, we could easily have lived there. Alison, that met us on arrival, was extremely helpful and gave us some useful tips. The champagne, hand made chocolates and soaps were much appreciated - our thanks to Annie. We found the whole process from booking, arrival and departure to be extremely straightforward.
During the day, this is a working wharf but we did not find the noise intrusive. In the evening, you can hear some noise from the bars nearby if you have the windows/balcony doors open, but as soon as we closed them to retire we found the apartment quiet and our sleep was never disturbed. We live in a very quiet location in the UK and we are therefore easily disturbed when away from home, so this was a pleasant surprise. We would not hesitate to stay here again if we are fortunate enough to return to Auckland.

The good : location - probably second to none - views of the harbour (towards the bridge), several great restaurants within a minutes walk and the city and ferry terminal 5 minutes away, lovely spacious rooms with full kitchen, secure parking at a reasonable rate and a convenience store at the front of the wharf (there is a full supermarket a few minutes drive up Quay st - cnr Tangihua St)
The not so good: some worn furniture (although that would depend on which apartment you got). Because they are apartments owned by various people they have a group managing the booking and arrivals process. Whilst the lady involved was outwardly pleasant the process was a little confused and if you queried what was happening the response was rather terse. I think the apartments could get noisy on weekends if you are not down the end of the wharf away from the nightclubs. Ask for a room in Shed 24 which is the other side of the Hilton hotel and down the end of the wharf.

We stayed here for the first 4 nights of our tour round New Zealand. It was just what we needed after 24 hours flying. The setting was perfect; wonderful view from the balcony/sitting room windows over the harbor and Auckland Bridge. It felt like being on a cruise ship. The apartment was large, comfortably furnished, well equipped and quiet. it was ideal location for walking to the shops, restaurants, tourist information and transport links. Booking via the internet months before couldn't have been easier; friendly, helpful, personal emails by reply. The only problem was having to leave - we could have happily lived there!

Arrived 1am into Auckland and Graeme met us within minutes of our late phone call to advise of our arrival at the waterfront. We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment for 3 nights and the accommodation was spacious, modern and very clean. The apartments have great views, are perfectly located for all transport and only 5 minute walk to the city heart.
Many restaurants and bars are very close by and as far as noise is concerned I think some previous travelers are over exaggerating.
Great hosts and would recommend for anyone to stay here.

My wife and I have just returned from an 8 day stay at the Auckland Waterfront serviced apartments. We had a 1 bedroom apartment .These apartments are excellent value, there are dozens of restaurants within walking distance, the ferrys, buses, trains are all within 500 metres. We were initially concerned there would be noise from the bars etc, however we did not hear any noise from the bars/restaurants. This is a working wharf so there was the occasional noise of generators and gantrys etc, however this was only back ground noise and did not interfere with a peaceful nights sleep. We paid extra for a car space, as there is no free parking and casual parking rates are expensive. The apartment was fully equiped with, ceramic hot plate, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and clothes drier. They are individually owned so the level of fitment can vary from one unit to another. For one bedders they were spacious, with a large lounge dining room, and seperate bedroom.

we stayed here for six days and loved it. great views over the quay, watching the ferries come and go. also good fun watching the working port in action. we had a minor problem with downlights in the kitchen, which the agent said only the owner could fix. but apart from that, we were extremely happy with the style, furnishings and equipment.

Normally stay at another waterfront location on the Viaduct, but fully booked due to Luis Vutton Cup. Found these apartments on the web. First thing that strikes you on entering is that the sliding doors right on the harbour front slide back to the width of the room, bringing the harbour almost into the room - fabulous! Very quiet location ( was in shed 24 block) & never saw any other occupant during the 3 day stay in mid March 2010. Was lucky to have the world's largest sailing ship - EOS - dock right outside the apartment on my first night - fascinating to watch the amount of work going on on-board while this almost 100m yacht was in dock. Expected some noise because of this special visitor, but slept with the sliding doors open & never heard a sound! Highly recommended, but don't rush the bookings, I want an apartment when next I'm in town. Ken
